Your information
Privacy notice
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Insight Property Remediation Limited is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our registered office is 8 Wiltshire Way, Bath, BA1 6NW. You can contact us at ed@insightpropertyremediation.co.uk or on 07891 256617.
Information we collect
When you telephone, email or request a callback, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, town or postcode, preferred contact time and the information you choose to provide about the property or service required. If you become a customer, we may also keep property-access details, quotations, job records, invoices, payment records and waste documentation.
Information normally comes directly from you. It may also be provided by someone acting for you or with a legitimate connection to the property, such as a family member, solicitor, landlord, housing provider or property manager.
How and why we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess work, arrange visits, prepare quotations, provide services, communicate about a job, maintain safety and waste records, manage payments and accounts, handle complaints and establish or defend legal claims.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating the business, keeping appropriate records and protecting our legal rights. We do not use callback details for unrelated marketing.
Sensitive information
Our work can involve distressing or private circumstances. Please provide only what we need to understand the general nature of your enquiry and do not include medical records or other highly sensitive personal information in the online form. If sensitive information becomes necessary for a particular service, we will handle it with additional care and only where data-protection law permits.
Online callback requests
Callback requests are delivered by FormSubmit, a third-party form-delivery provider, and then received through our business email service. Website and email hosting providers may also process limited technical information needed to operate and secure those services. FormSubmit or its infrastructure may process information outside the UK; where an international transfer occurs, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data-protection law.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. Where necessary, we may share limited information with website, form and email providers; professional advisers; insurers; authorised waste carriers and disposal facilities; subcontractors involved in an agreed service; payment or accounting providers; and regulators, emergency services or other authorities where required by law. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the purpose.
How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not result in work are normally retained for up to 12 months. Customer, quotation, invoice and job records are normally retained for up to six years after the end of the customer relationship. Certain waste, safety, insurance or legal records may be kept longer where legislation, an active claim or another clear business need requires it. Information is deleted or securely disposed of when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to particular uses, or receive information in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis being used. These rights are not absolute, and legal record-keeping duties may sometimes prevent deletion.
To exercise a right or raise a concern, email ed@insightpropertyremediation.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
